A rainy season starts in about 4-6 weeks, and if those people are still in shanties made out of garbage, the misery and disease are going to be breathtaking. One of the most interesting stories of all has to do with the way the Dominican Republic and Haiti have put aside their longstanding tensions, for the moment, and the Dominicans have really gone all out to help Haiti at this terrible time.
