@Kreloar its and mixture butween ducth, german and french. then you got like 80% of the language :p
i speak dutch and german fluently only my german grammar isnt that great. xD

It sounds like a mixture between German and French. Swiss German also uses "merci" and some other French words, but Luxembourgish is much more extreme in this respect.
Es klingt wie eine Mischung aus Deutsch und Französisch. Das Schweizerdeutsche benutzt auch "merci" und nutzt einige andere französische Wörter, aber in dieser Hinsicht ist das Luxembourgische viel extremer.

@HesseJamez I am aware of what it is based on... I grew up Amish that is why I can speak it.

PA dutch is based on the same palantine (Pfalz) dialect like luxemburgic - that's it.

some words really are like the german words but some also are very different. i'm cunfused xD i never heard this language before. i expected i'd be more like dutch or somthing ;D
