Colin Powell:

--tried to cover up the My Lai Massacre, but admitted later in his memoirs that men in his unit murdered unarmed Vietnamese males;

--helped implement arms sales to Iran in the 1980s, the country the hawks want to attack today;

--was instrumental in getting Americans to agree to invade Iraq, despite no aggressive intent by that nation, bogging down the US in a colonial war of conquest with no stated end date;

With an "American Hero" like this, who needs villains? P.O.S.

The "mobile WMD laboratories" were particularly hilarious. Thank god those GOP freaks are out of office.

The evidence from all sides that he was misled. He spent two full days prior to the speech in consultation with CIA executives who assured him that every point in his speech was accurate and well substantiated. The NIE short form was provided to lawmakers by the CIA, and was completely misleading and overly confident - you can read it yourself to see. The CIA and DIA brass are the ones to blame for Iraq, not Powell.
