Ten sailors aboard USS John C. Stennis were injured March 30 after a fighter jet on the aircraft carrier caught fire. See more DoD videos at http://www.dodvclips.mil
Good job,I serve on the Uss KittyHawk(96-00) we lost a Prowler, but had high number of shipboard fires..no lives lost.....people fail to realize ships in general are hazardous places because everthing is so confined with nowhere to run
Considering ORM and All the counter measures we practice in the Navy, we haven't lost anything in a while. The F-15 is Air Force and is a total different Branch of Service. For the Navy this is ALWAYS a possibility especially on the flight deck of a Carrier. I am a former Stennis Sailor and served in the V-2 Division. We operate the Catapults and Arresting Gear. The whole time I served we only had very few minor issues aboard. The Stennis is one of the Safest ships afloat. -ABE2 (AW) USN
