@Socran Zero never gave sigma those scars, why do you think his face was fixed? Most of Sigma's new bodies still keep those scars X gave him, Zero just ripped his skin off and the right side looked like the scar.

Wait in x4 Sigma turned maverick when he fought Zero, completely maverick. They gave Zero an antivirus. and........this cartoon makes no sense :(

@TheSpawnfan I believe the Maverick Hunter X series was meant to retcon that particular aspect, actually. I don't know where it would have gone if it wasn't cancelled, but you can see in this video that X gave Sigma those scars on his eyes. In the scene you're referring to, Zero gave Sigma those same scars.
Not that it matters, really. It makes sense for them to be working together, since Zero was a Maverick at the time, and Sigma helped "fix" him. He's the reason Zero joined the Hunters.

@Socran agreed, it still puzzles me though why is Zero working alongside Sigma, they almost killed each other on their first encounter (actually, Zero almost killed Sigma but Willy's programming interfered and Zero got a sucker punch to his head crystal).

@Archedgar I dunno, I wish they had continued exploring the Zero/Wily thing. I think that, above all, Zero was designed to be superior to X at his primary function. If Wily saw that Zero had gone against his designated purpose, not because he was defective but because he developed a friendship with his rival, he would be proud. World domination could suck it, Wily won anyway: he created the first Maverick. The first robot to truly make his own choices, completely at odds with his programming.
