For this video, we took samples of limestone from the Preserve and brought them back to the lab. The rocks were sanded down to remove external impurities and then we added soda. The result is a violent reaction not seen before. Only calcium carbonate reacts, remember that the rocks at the preserve were covered in dirt, which probably partially inhibited the reaction.
