Anyone who owns an FT-817 knows how small that dimple in the tuning knob is and the "Kranker" knob might be the solution for you. I went ahead and bought one to install and test.
Stoner, you are a truly disturbed individual, kind of like me and all other QRP nuts. Good vid, though, which convinces me to get a Kranker when I order an 817, which should be soon.
I bought the Kranker for the same reason. Have problem taking the original knob off after removing set-screw. Expected it to slide off without forcing it. It doesn't so I re-inserted the screw and rubber. Sure wish it would install but not gonna tear at the original in attempt.
I like the new knob. Another thing that makes the FT-817 better are those little peg legs that fold out from under where the shoulder strap attaches. It tilts the radio about 1.5 inches up.
@g4kki
I second that!

it would only be right to make a followup video about shaving.
