@1991315145 Yes, it does. Utter beauty. This is rapture.

When she acts she has plenty of masculine energy.

Completa, una voz extraordinaria y una mujer bellísima.

Потрясающая певица, у кого ещё такой изумительный голос? Может быть, только у Весселины Касаровы...Брава!

This kind of repertoire suits her voice perfectly. Brava Elina Garanca!

@frufruJ I understand and respect your point of view. It's only my opinion. But I think there's logic in my reasoning too. If at that time such repertoire was sung by women it was revolutionary to eliminate the practice of castration and forget about castrati. Falsettists at that time couldn't compete with them. But now CT technique is more developed and advanced. If there are not enough of CTs it's only a question of discrimination and competition. Why Bartoli as mezzo sings EVERYTHING then?

@frufruJ ...oh thank you so much for the information!!! it´s a wonderfull place!!! I also would like to sing there!!! regards!!!!
Well, very beautiful voice and singer. But I can't imagine that she is Romeo. She sounds like a feminine woman to me. IMO nowadays such roles should be sung by countertenors as they are men and only men can sing like men no matter for whom it was originally written. Otherwise I can't take her seriously. It's just like a somewhat weird comedy to me. Sorry. It's only my opinion. I think she'd rather explore soprano roles if she wants to expand her repertoire.

@serenaluce Even at the premiere Romeo was sung by a woman. Also, there simply aren't enough countertenors, and there never will be. And if a role was written specifically for soprano voice, it can't be sung by a mezzo.
