  • Top vid, though I have some questions.

What 3D software are you using with your logger data? And was there any lennies to mark your lift in the primary wave bar?

Where I fly there is no wave :( but a nice 100km ridge. well done

  • Using SeeYou Application to look at the flight recorder data and produce the graphic views. Most of the time, mountain wave in Hawaii does not produce lenticular clouds. Rotor clouds are commonly seen.

  • do you have a perssurized cabin in the DG?? supplemental oxygen??

  • No power source to pressurize the cabin of a sailplane. Supplemental oxygen is required - time of useful conciousness at those altitudes without oxygen is less than 30 seconds.

  • Great vid!

How did you install the camera inside the sailplane? Excellent perspective; well done.

    Greetings

  • The camera is a Sony compact digital with 640 x 480 mpeg video available in addition to stills. It's light and small enough to mount on the brim of a baseball cap. Works pretty well if I can remember to move my head slowly while recording.

  • R.I.P. Dave.

If he's flying a Dg-400, a self launcher, why does he need a tow?

  • Aloha David, you have followed your passion to the ultimate heights, riding the sweetest winds on earth~ May your spirit soar forever now~~

  • I have recently downloaded Microsoft Flight and this is one of the aerocaches, i am shocked to find that this guy has died attempting a higher altitude.

  • I too came here, because of M$ Flight, R.I.P man

  • Hello, I came here because of Microsoft Flight Treasure Hunt. Bye.

  • Wonderful !!!! I fly a DG 400 also ... see my videos ...

  • Just wonderful...

  • RIP Dave

  • Wow, thank you for the ride. With a temp outside of -35* C. how do you get cabin heat? You must have been in flight for 1 or 2 hours.

  • @ondamountain Not ^^ But it is above a vulcano, and he's flying in thermicals. So maybe that heat of both is enough..

  • how did you stay warm without gloves and a jacket
