It is easy to use the A65 to tape video in low light if you remember two things, use manual focus and use movie dial mode to change the speed and f-stop. One can change the f-stop by holding the ael button and moving the front wheel. Here are some examples of using those reminders to make a video clip in a very dark place. The a65 was set to 60p the inside clips were shot under the same conditions.

  • Great, thank you, this video helped me a lot, Sony does not explain it at all in the manual because this camera is a piece of crap, now I got to find a way to return the camera back to Sony.

  • @TheSonoranscape Well, I thank you for the comment but really have to disagree with the comment that the camera isn't very good. I love the A65, it not only does wonderful video in 60P, it also performs its main function as a photo camera with greatness.

But that all is in the eye of the beholder, hope you go on to something that works for you.

  • I'm really sorry, the camera is made for general purpose, it can be good for some and not for others, it can't please every one. I spent $1,600 + for a f 1.4 Carl Zeiss lens to get good low light photos.

Over all, this camera is very good for what it is intended, Thanks for the video.
