Average short. Not bad, it has its moments, but it's not top shelf Stooge.

You do know that these stories were just thrown together according to whatever film set was available at the time of filming. Do some more research.

I actually watched Playing the Ponies earlier this summer shortly before the Cash and Carry review in fact and when I watched said review when you two reminded us that Playing the Ponies was the next short, I was like "Oh boy these guys are going to be let down!" As you guys said, Playing the Ponies was kind of strange in that I don't think it was even supposed to be *funny*, but merely *entertaining*. Wonder what that was about.

I think you guys pretty much nailed it. This short is among those on one of the Stooge DVDs I have and I agree with your guys' review to a tee. Pretty average stuff, which must have come as quite a disappointment after Cash and Carry--which I still have not watched.
