  • do you ever need to vaccume the gravel around the plants?

  • @lolustupid : If you have a lot of fish in your aquarium then vaccum is a got idea to maintain water quality. But when there are only few fishes (2-4 nos. of 3 inch fishes in a 20Gallon Aqua) then the natural biological cycle will take care of the waste deposits. Just change 1/5th of the water using siphon every 2 weeks. If you want less maintanence then plant artificial plants. Real plants could be food for other fish and die off easily if there is not enough light or poor water quality.

  • @lolustupid : Yea that would be stupid !

  • Hi 13thChip, How many weeks your Co2 bottle can hold up? how to make Co2 with sugar+yeast+water to make Co2 last longer? My Co2 2liters bottle can hold up only 1 week max.

  • Mine also can hold only upto a week mainly because Rhinox 2000 needs lot of pressure and after a week, the pressure in the bottle is not sufficient to produce the bubbles to escape.

I think you should use a 2Litre airtight Plastic bottle with a teaspoon of Yeast mixed with 1 KG sugar in lukewarm water to make it last 3 weeks by using a simple aquarium airstone instead of Co2 diffuser.

  • that's one fat looking platy,lol!

  • Its called Balloon Molly.
