@conferencereport What do you mean by a more intuitive way?? And why are you wanting to adjust it -- because it's not being used much??

@rriverstone1 No worries rs1. It'll still be there when you've finished.

I have not lost interest. I'm moving. Every moment, pretty much, is dedicated to this. I have difficulty concentrating on new concepts, and would rather pay attention to YDub when I'm not distracted.

I'd like to see a box showing which videos are generating the most comments. I don't use Twitter, so maybe this is the kind of thing Trending is based on. Or is that just sharing? And perhaps a way to recommend that a video is worth watching that isn't tied to a rating system. That would take away the problem of 'Liking' dislikeable content. Looking forward to it opening up, I think a bit of variety would really help at this stage.

@DaithiDublin That's a great idea. A kind of 'Most Active Video' rather that Most Active User. I'd also like a system that shares recommendations amongst users without rating it. I think the existing 'Remember' (Favourite) system could be adapted to do that.

When you said "trending topics", maybe you could do it via tags? For example, the most used tag could be set as the "trend" and then you could put up the video with the most views/comments/likes/etc on the home page. Maybe you could use it to highlight new users with interesting/cool content.
Either way I'm quite excited.

@ZaneShadowcast I'll give it a go using tags, that certainly does seem to be the easiest (although people use tags in fairly arbitrary ways at the moment). I also like the idea of a video that is generating a lot of discussion being featured on the front page.

I really like the concept of distance! What about only one button, just a 'like' button that determines a system of priority among all of the videos?

@tonyfalca I like the concept of distance too. Maybe we could keep it in but refer to it in a more intuitive way.
