@ProspectorJess, the dark spots are host rock, which is mostly dark quartz and some ironstone. This gold is about 95% pure, bulk of the other impurites are silver and small amounts of copper.

@jessgo33 Hey Jess, Yes, there is fine gold at the bottom after cleaning specimens and even some nuggets. I will clean the bottom out once I seen some fine gold starting to build up. Talk with you later.
