Margot and Rudi Off Stage

this is a pure nostalgia post for me - indulgence is needed!

i saw Margot and Rudi often as a kid in london and met them a number of times through a dear friend of my parents in covent garden's administration - so i have the fondest memories of this legendary pair (not to say that even i couldn't see that fonteyn was not anywhere anear her best at that time)

here are some very favourite off stage and rehearsal photographs - along with one they both autographed for me - kind to a star-struck kid!

and there's some (well-known i'll bet!) footage of Margot and Rudi rehearsing 'Marguerite and Armand', which i did not at all like at all at all - life is often filled with such mixed feelings and reactions!
