haha all those virusus ARE dangerous I had half of them on my old pc a couple years ago. (can cause GREAT harm!) But this is trying to tell you, you have ALL of these on your pc and you MUST download A.Ware to get rid of it. WRONG; your antivirus does not stop working and you need to download anything... then there`s the fact that window it opened up wasn`t even in `My Computer` and THEN there`s the fact it does not bring up the user`s name of the pc that it`s showing you...

Whoever created this scam is an EPIC FAIL to society. Just putting that out there! (and sorry for the music change already... it was supposed to be 3 days grace but they won`t listen to the fair use fact...)

  • If you can make a fake virus scanner saying Hal.dll is a virus...... Or tell someone to do it......

  • @Megadoomable XD Hahaha, that'd be sad for someone to fall for that. -.- Though I find idiots fall for these 'virus scans' way too much... Like c'mon... This was an easy one... It was opened up in an IE window. I mean I get some are hard to see because they pop up when you least suspect them and not in the IE... Also forcing you to click something... So restarting the pc works on a lot of them ^^

  • I lawled when I saw the old windows xp fake virus scanner pop up on my mac

  • @TomGezen haha sad, right? xD good thing their easy to spot though, otherwise more ppl would be infected than there are x.x

  • @hillbilly635 so do those fake scans do anything? on my win7 computer it still showed a windows xp folder being scanned..

  • @TomGezen no the fake virus scans do nothing, unless of course their planting a virus themselves... most require you to open it up and some will even not let you do anything else with simple coding to the point where you must shut off your computer, turn off internet, then turn it back on and delete whichever file it is, most cases in that they can be found in the cookies.

  • @guyofhalo Well the pop-ups and .exe files not opening can be due to malicious software that can be downloaded to your pc through a file, or simply opening a page containing it that could be put through with cookies... I'd suggest downloading the 1 time trial AVG tune-up, search it, download it, and get it to tune up your pc automatically, I suggest buying full version sometime so you can do it whenever the problem occurs, if this is not the case write back and I'll see what else can be done ^^

  • Im having the same problem and I already have my AVG stuff working and Its like pushing this thing on me and apprently theres a W32 blastworm that prevents me from opening the thing and it keeps scanning and it says I have to keep downloading this certain software also will the thing eventually go away or something? Will it? and I can return to my Clean fully functional PC? Plz Right back I need alot of help with this problem and it would be great if i can get the info on it thanks :)

  • @121drybones121 IE=Internet Explorer (most ppl still have this, but I prefer Firefox myself)

AVG=Anti Virus Gaurd (obviously a downloadable anti virus protection) and it deletes both on most cases... because for a virus to get into your pc it often has to attach itsself to a file that you download... so yes, but most of the time you will notice if the file is gone if its anything important and not just something that downloads automatically off the internet like in cookies etc...

  • also if you guys EVER get a problem where you can't open anything but your IE, go download AVG tuneup... first is free... but it will delete ALL the problems that are causing it and get rid of malicious software (most are good to get rid of unless you know EXACTLY what it does)
