Pink Floyd, Wish You Were Here (1975)

So, so you think you can tell
Heaven from Hell,
Blue skys from pain.
Can you tell a green field
From a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?

And did they get you to trade
Your heros for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange
A walk on part in the war
For a lead role in a cage?

How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls
Swimming in a fish bowl,
Year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have we found?
The same old fears.
Wish you were here.

    Kill me now.

  • I started typing "Wish you..." in the box and the *first* suggestion was "Wish You Were Here Avril Lavigne". A small part of me died.

  • The Floyd!!!!!!!!!!! timeless.

  • mfw I type Wish You Were Here into the search bar and Avril Lavigne is at the top :/

  • like this if you came here through return to equestria!

  • @rotorheadagain Played at my dad's funeral too! Passed at 51. MISS YOU POPS!!! :''''''(

  • Theres good music in every genre, I know alot of people hate rap because of waterd down mainstream music, But if you just took the time to look underground you would probly really enjoy it. /watch?v=aZ6UDw5ova0 Because just like pink floyd, REAL rap has Soul, Message, Unique Instrumentals, Lyrical word play/poetry if you want to find more REAL rap check out TheYacz Channel.

  • @lxsosna hey you don't have to worry you're not the only one that thinks that. Kids that think the same way as you are going to grow up and play good music. The horseshit that is the pop music industry now will serve as a lesson for generations to come. They will learn what NOT to do from today's music
