Once again remind everyone that the vaccine's purpose is to prevent mutation. The protection from the virus is just an added bonus :)

Is the danger of mutations in swine flu more serious than in the seasonal flu?

@exfalsoquodlibet Swine flu has always been just a tad more dangerous than the seasonal flu. Not by much. The overall effect of the new mutations found is still to be determined, but it's likely that these 2 new mutations are a bit more potent than others.

Keep in mind that plenty of swine flu mutations have occurred to produce many different strains, it's just that these 2 might be more dangerous. That's why I'm giving the heads up.
