  • This was the song that opened the door from childhood to adolescence for me! Every night after the family was asleep, I listened to my transistor radio, under the covers, in the dark - and waited for the top 3 hits - just so I could hear "Listen People" and dream of Peter Noone. (Sometimes I still dream of Peter Noone)

  • real beauty in sound and words, with a great wish for everyone that I hope comes true.

  • On this date in 1966 {Feb. 19th} "Listen People" entered Billboard's Hot Top 100; eventually it peaked at #3 and spent 9 weeks in the Top 100...

Was featured in the film "When The Boys Meet The Girls"...

Was the 8th of 9 straight records by the group to make Billboard's Top 10 in the years 1965 & 1966...

  • @travis7310

Funny! Walgreen's plays a lot of things you haven't heard in a long while.

  • I heard this in Walgreens yesterday for the first time in about ten years. Maybe it hasn't been that long, but, it sure felt like it. I was happy to hear it again after so many years, and even happier to find it on YouTube! :D

  • @abcbraveheart I was 12 when this song came out ('66-I think), and I agree, it's their best. Never getting much credit for musianship, I think these guys were better than what they were allowed to show....given the basically pop-ish material they were given to work with. There are some songs of theirs that individually, show what each guy was capable of. Clearly, I think a lot more than most folks ever thought. But...this is just one man's opinion. Just dig the music, I say. joel in tucson

  • This might be the best HH tune they did in my opinion. While I've never been a great admirer of this band, the lyrics are great but it's the opening guitar solo that soundss so clear, catchy and continues throughtout the tune. After I just heard this, I have a lot more respect for what this band did.

  • Pachelbel liiiiives!

  • ...one day I might fall in love...

  • @rockliveson69

Peter Noone still tours and i uploaded a few from recent years, by the way he is soooo fun in concert, and would you believe he has groupies that follow him from town to town........what a good guy!

  • Thank you sat radio for letting me know this song existed...love it

    EVERYBODY's gotta lose somebody sometime
