Can I plug in my playstation contoller and step on it to control the volume?

That's not possible, you'd need a MIDI expression pedal. We have nice durable ones for sale on our site.

@ikmultimedia Not possible? There is software with which you can use for example an Xbox 360 controler as an Midi controler... Sorry for my bad english!

@OneManBandMusic I was saying you cannot plug a playstation controller into this particular hardware. Frankly, it is much easier to do MIDI control with the many controllers available (including the MIDI control available using this very pedal in the video, StealthPedal)
