Living it up in Playa del Carmen - 2011

Thanks so much to our wonderful friends Andy & Yvonne for inviting us to join them. Our first trip to Mexico in over 5 years. And this is not like the places we had been before. This is the Yukatan - and much more like I'd imagine parts of south America to be. We enjoyed a side trip to Cozumel and already know that's one place I could easily enjoy a full week. Prices are not so low anymore, as the demand is high, but the quality of the food & resorts justify it and it's till not as expensive as Hawaii (yet). We enjoyed every meal except Margaritaville, which sadly seems to be falling to the quality of Bubba Gumps (at least the one in Cozumel was). Our tour guide to Chitzen Itza recommended we search for the documentary Mayan Skies - but alas, I could not find it. If anyone knows what he was talking about, let me know!
