Korg is really a very very good instrument, of course its not so like a original Rhodes, but you have in korg a lot of very good sounds, please not compare with original instruments, be realist!

the original one just sounds alive, real and gutsy !

There's nothing like a real Rhodes!

Where does this guy live? I want to steal his hands when he is sleeping. LOL

I love your rhythm and your grooves. Do you give online lessons?
Thanks

@tyleryesta1 The original video has been edited. in the fist version it was obvious that you can get more dynamics from an old Rhodes + a priceless analogue chorus than a nearly 2k buck SV-1 but.... I do not have an old Rhodes/Wurlitzer in my garage and I don't have that priceless analogue effect Professor Lennart played with. For my own point of view a SV1 is a definitely a great choice. If you want the best for your buck deal ga to SV1 as I will.

so because they done use the tube section does that me they can get that much warmer when applying to the new and improved sounds?
can you get more of a early mark 1 tone out of the sv1 by eqing or by using the editor? I like it the way it is but I'd like to have the option when playing Herbie Hancock tunes. to me it sounds more like a mark 2 80's model but they said they modeled it after a mark 1.

@tyleryesta1:
You can modify the sounds to your own liking, however I noticed the original rhodes to be somewhat less dynamic. I know it sounds kinda strange, but the original rhodes has more 'mudiness' to it.
Lately I did use the compressor to even it out just a bit, but I hope the SV-1 sound pack 2 offers some advantages too. I'll check it this weekend, and let you know!

So, here's a quick overview of the new sounds in Service Pack 2. I found the Wurlitzer sound more genuine, it's warmer and it has a longer sustain. The new rhodes sounds are very useful in getting different characters when playing. I do think you can find your Herbie sound.
The Grand pianos are louder and a bit warmer than the first versions, and there are some nice clavs also. I noticed most of the new sounds don't use the tube section, but do sound warmer, so check it out!

Hee Lennart , te gekke toetsenist ben je !!
Wat is jouw mening over de piano geluiden van de Korg sv-1 dus de "klassieke" piano geluiden, zijn die enigzins ok ?

@Patrick19702210:
Hoi Patrick!
