A quick video showing the clock tower from the bridge leading to the tram tour. This is as close as we could get, because the Cat in the Hat was filming this day as you can see in the video.

My girlfriend and I went on the tram ride. She's seen the clock tower before, I haven't. Well, I have, but only from the same view as this video. She got to see it close-up.

Too bad it got burnt down.

well the original PEAK of the clock tower where doc comes out is still on the backlot near the prop warehouse. Also, Universal is rebuilding the town square set complete with a new peak for the clock tower! I saw it a month ago and its looking great!

My husband is a Universal Studios Hollywood tour tram driver. The last few times I have been on the tour, the CH Square was NOT a part of the tour, because Ghost Whisperer was filming. The tram route changes daily, due to what is filming, on the back lot. I was SO HAPPY to drive by the Clock Tower, on BTTF the Ride's final day! The LYON ESTATES markers are also on the tram tour. The best time to catch the Courthouse Square on the tram tour, is on the weekends, when they aren't filming.

Thanks! i was able to see the courthouse on the Final Flight of BTTF September 3rd 2007. Since it was the labour day holiday nothing was shooting and they drove right in front of it. Shame though its BARELY recognizable with the new Ghost Whisperer outfit.

So, you mean that the clock tower is still there, but is just filled with alot of crap? I cannot beleive they closed that ride. Its the best EVER!!! Its a freakin classic!!! They replaced it with the Simpsons. I mean I like the simpsons, but BTTF is the BOMB!!! Plus I bet that if the Simpsons ride doesnt succeed they'll put back BTTF. ROCK ON BACK TO THE FUTURE!!!!!

So, wut ur saying is that the clock tower is still ther, but its just covered with crap? Man, I can't belive they would change the ride for a Simpsons ride. They have a whole lot of space, they didnt have to take down Back to The Future. I bet the Simpsons ride will suck, and if it isnt as good as the BTTF Ride, i bet they'll put it back.

the courthouse square is sometimes part of the tram tour .. but nobody can just go walk around there. This video is probably some of the last footage of the clock tower in its BTTF dress up ... as a recent visit on 9/3/2007 the set is completely different and dressed up for Ghost Whisperer. The most notable thing is the clock and peak that it sits in is removed and stored in the prop warehouse area.
