bug have been kicking asses since a long time ago.

Actually i took that as a weekend sport here at my land , those hondas or srt4 talk a lot of shit then i go out give a few turns to the boost screw and kick asses and come back happy with a smile that lasts all of the weekend or even one month depending of the car i beat.

@firebeetlese Im not going to bag honda's or neons, their are fast ones out their, I personally know this because I own 3 Civics and a Integra, but bar none VW's will have a big place in my heart, an economy motor made almost 50 years ago kicking the asses of cars built for performance from the factory is amazing. I have this motor on a Sand Dragster, in 330 foot it pull'd a 4.15 with a broken rocker and the supercharger belt flying off.

It is hard to find vintage roots type superchargers for vw's. There is a new company that is making systems called DLI (dick landy industries I think). Just be ready to spend some cash either way you go.

I'm familiar with the Dick Landy setup, but I understand that B&M quit making the little single four bolt-on charger that it was designed for. Has anyone tried one of the chargers like Ford and Toyota are using. Sorry, forgot the model number. Seems if you could shorten the snout it would be a great way to set up fuel injection with a blower on a bug.
