The fact is, you can build an amazing computer for less than half the price of Mac. Mac OS is practically a free piece of software, so don't give me "Yeah, but Mac OS is unique" bullshit. It's also incredibly outdated.

I believe Mac are for people who want a computer that just works. That's also actually quite basic. People who maybe don't actually understand how a computer works and would rather have less bother in maintenance. PC is better though, if you're a gamer. I would consider Mac for photo editing. But that is all.

@bgioni That wage does put things into perspective. In that case, I'd recommend a PC definitely. I think if you are willing to put up with reading a few manuals/help guides, then Linux is the way to go. Windows has always given me issues back when I used it, but I hear W7 is really good. I wouldn't know. BTW, I didn't know that there were modded W7 versions to run on older hardware. That's interesting stuff. Thanks!
