I got to see Einstein on the Beach and civil warS and am here to commend them both most highly. By slowing down time, quite like Messiaen's quartet for the end thereof, Wilson was able to create a dream world, like Joyce's language, or Leary's LSD trip, which would transport the sensitive audience, hynotizing by lowering the heart rate, like Gurdjieff, and thus presenting an experience unique in the thickets of Dead Theatre. His work standing in sharp contrast, is holy and alive, hot and deep.

The Song is from the Opera "White Raven" by Philip Glass. There is no official recording of it but here's one from this site. It's the entire opera so if you want to listen to this snip, go to 1:04:00. :)

Phil Glass told me that one of the BAM "Einstein" performances was filmed. Should have been on tv years ago....but for the life of me, I've never seen it or the actual film.
Where this footage is? got me!!
