Esther is a bright teenager from the biggest
island in the world, Greenland.
Through various activities we get insight in
how she shares her reflections and knowledge
about the natural and city environment with the
filmmaker. The film presents joys and challenges
in life in a personal way through the eyes of a
young girl.
Esther's narrative is interspersed with the story
of several teenage-boys who portray their
perception through their own video. With
participatory video techniques, the filmmaker
incorporates their narratives on what a good
life for them means in the capital of Greenland,
Nuuk.
The stories of these youths touch upon the past
and present influence of Greenland's previous
colonizers, Denmark through their attitude,
activities and language.
