Salieri wrote this concerto in 1774. It is nowadays his probably best known concerto. My personal highlight is the second movement. Dagmar Becker plays the flute, Lajos Lencés is on the oboe and Jörg Faerber conducts the Württembergische Kammerorchester.

  • Wonderful! Salieri is sooo underrated as a composer. Leopold Mozart did him no favours with his conspiracy theories. Wolfgang's own writings, as well as Salieriès continued promotion of Mozart's works even after the latter's death show the stories about their rivalry were highly overblown, if not completely mendacious.

  • Bellissimo!
