  • pardon me for my ignorance, but didn't the fuke-zen tradition die out during feudal japan? i hope i am sadly mistaken and i do hope that this unique tradition continues to live and thrive to this day.

  • @arivas713

    Thank you !

  • Very nice. Is that honkyoku? What song and tradition, tozan-ryu, or kinko-ryu? I've recently purchased a yuu and am just starting to learn the art. Any hints?

  • Thank you. Mr. magick205.

This sound was composed by Nando Tsuruta, may be, in eary Souwa Period.

    This belongs in Koten-honkyoku.

You know, of course, my skill is not perfect yet.

    Addition:

    The name is "Renbo-Nagashi"

  • This is a very nice video. I love the look of the komosou outfit, straw hat and the shakuhachi he is playing. Looking at this video and hearing the shakuhachi gives me such a peaceful and tranquil feeling. I wish I had a big poster of a komosou monk in an ancient town that is high up in a mountain as he's playing his shakuhachi. Japan is a beautiful place. I hope it's people always remember to keep the old or ancient ways of Japan alive. Very nice video.. so peaceful.

  • Mr.MarianWI,
