This is my 13 y/o son Ben. He suffers from autism and is completely non-verbal (lots of vocal sounds but no words) He has recently developed seizures - a grand mal type on Feb 8, and a different looking series of them on March 8. he had to go to the hospital both times but the second time, he didn't come out of it for hours and the ER staff had to help him breathe for nearly 2 hours. He was admitted and an EEG showed a "clearly visible abnormality" on the left side of his brain. That's all the neuro said and an MRI was ordered. That was done on March 21st. Since then, Ben has had a number of peculiar "episodes" - one of which is posted here. They last 5 minutes to 45 minutes and when they are over, he is his "old self" again - laughing, smiling, and running around the house. It's quite a noticeable change. I need your help, please. Could this possibly be a seizure or the beginning of one? How should I best treat something like this? I pretty much "ignored" the event on March 8th thinking he was coming down with something, when in fact he was seizing, and I did nothing until he was in serious trouble. I don't want that to happen again if I can help it. THANK YOU for watching and for your opinion.
