I liked Leo the Lion! Which was the story of a white lion that was king of the jungle. You should look it up.

@LexicalTrap "Leo the Lion" was the sequel, which followed the original series immediately in Japan, but didn't reach US shores until something like two decades later. The lion was re-named "Leo" (the name was always "Leo" in the original Japanese), and there were references to him being called "Kimba" when he was younger, including a hilarious (to me) instance of bad dubbing direction when an old mammoth starts to say "Ki..." before correcting herself, but pronounces it to rhyme with "sky."

@LexicalTrap I have some episodes of "Leo" on DVD, and I need to try and translate the Japanese opening (I have a Mushi Pro OP/ED compilation DVD) so I can do a "Credits Vs Credits."

@ebwarg You should totally do that! I'm so excited that you knew what Leo the Lion was... everyone I bring it up to always mixes it up with some other Lion named Leo.(this other lion is significantly less cool)

@ebwarg Oh my gosh yes! In Leo the Lion and the Saber Tooth! That one was my favorite! When the saber tooth is trying to chip the mammoth out of the ice! I still have my VHS with that episode on it.
