HI! i have a toshiba satellite l300d laptop and the problem that im having is this, Every once in a while my laptop will freeze for a second, then get a black screen, then go to a screen that has a bunch of different lines running down it. lastly the computer restarts and is fine until it repeats the error at another time. Can you tell me what this means and how to fix it?? Also i know its not the fans because they run fine.

hello, i just bought the acer x3400, ive been having problems with my screen, on occasions my screen has gone blank while im on my computer, the screen goes black and it says i have no signal, i can still hear my audio though, then about 1 min later i get a blue screen and it says a fatal error has occured, i dont know wether its a hardware problem, or if my moniter is broke.

@borashnikov Sounds like you either have a video card problem, or your OS is messed up. It is not your monitor...
Try updating the driver for your video card... if that doesn't work try reinstalling your operating system... if that doesn't work try buying and installing a new video card...
Hope that helps.
Cheers,
Eli

What is the CMOS battery again
GSWarrior18 10 months ago
@GSWarrior18 It looks like a watch battery and is somewhere on the motherboard. Just unplug the computer, then push in the power button to discharge any stored energy, and then take out the battery for a minute.
