This is a promo/review for the Canon 5D MkII camera I shot with David Bean. This was a piece we put together for B&H Photo to use on their website. Although I don't think it was used, it was fun doing it and from what I understand, more maybe in the works.

For this shoot David had a project to shoot for Nashville Lifestyles magazine so we used this opportunity to show what the 5D could do with no produced lighting, only natural light.

Thanks to Joey Ciccoline for doing the edit and Ben Hancock for additional footage.

  • @cmouseplane Probably the new EOS-1D X that Canon just came out with.

  • What is considered the best camera?

  • It can take much more than light rain. I've used it in downpours and snow storms and it just keeps asking for more. Those water proof housings are if you wanna scuba dive with your camera. Why do you think they're 3000+ dollars :x

  • @daliaalameen It holds up to moisture and rain quite well. I've had it down in Guatemala during the rainy season and actually shot in some light rain and it did very well, no problems. Of course I wouldn't have it out in a downpour but of course use common sense when shooting in these elements. They do make waterproof housings for these cameras for a reason.

  • How is the buffer memory? Does it fill up fast so you have to wait before continuing to shoot?

My D7000 fills up rather fast, especially when using bracketing mode.

  • does the camera body waterproof ?? like under raining or humidity weather ?

  • Tons of pro's use it, especially for weddings. Yervant uses one. He's the top 1 or 2 wedding photographers on earth. Yes, it's a pro body. But I know what David is saying. David does some serious amazing work. I'm located almost down the street from him. He's top shelf.

  • of course it's a pro body!

  • @charld It's a simplified custom rig just using RR's rails, follow focus, DSLR mount, baseplate mount, and grips handles. It's a variation of the "Captain Stubbling" rig

    Hope that helps.

  • can you please tell us more about the rig Marco is using, does B&H sell that?
