The episode with William "Billy" Benson where the word "pistolman" is used by the troublemaking writer, Mr. Claremont, shows McCain's advantage over handgun users. Everyone who called him "sodbuster" felt the hornet's nest. Was it 6 or 8 wooden ornaments he shot off the high sign to convince Billy to back down?
