Lucy Christopher chats about her books Stolen and Flyaway

Author Lucy Christopher talks to me about her CBCA shortlisted YA novel Stolen, her new book Flyaway and how to catch a camel in the Australian outback.

We're at The Little Bookroom in Melbourne, so you may miss a couple of words early on due to noisy browsers, but what's lacking in audio quality is made up for in bookshop ambience.

I havent read flyaway but I read Stolen and I actually couldnt put it down. It was amazing.Although I do have a few things that I didn't like about it. But maybe that was because, and maybe this makes me weird or maybe most people do as well, I am kind of a bit in love with Ty and I sympathise with him.Although he does have at some bits come off as creepy. I really hope they make Stolen into a film,would be such an amazing film if they make it well and had good actors playing Gemma and Ty.

I loved this book so much, I never read, ever but this book was so amazing! i NEED a sequel to this book, maybe from Ty's perspective. She said she is wants to return to Gemma and Ty's world again and knows how to do it but i just wanna read it right now! such an amazing book. I just finished it last night and i cant stop thinking about it. <3

i love this book soooo much! SPOILERS!: the hospital scene was the most beautiful thing i've ever read... i want there to be a sequel where gemma goes back to the outback with ty and lives with him there... she got bit right when things were going good! :((

i loved tihs book so much i couldnt put it down and then read it AGAIN the next day because i was so confused how i felt about ty.. loved him but atthe same time so confused thinking i am sick for liking him because of how they met and how they go there in the first place and his creepy stalkerish tendencies. it doesnt help that hes a stone fox tho either. if he was busted, you know we would all think differently about him haha LOVE THIS BOOK!

Good book but I found it kinda boring. Everything is happening in one place at the dessert, only 2 people we can imagine. But good book, and very sad ending.
