featuring Thelma White & Her All-Girl Orchestra.
'Soundies' were an early version of the music video, displayed on a Panoram (a coin-operated film jukebox) in nightclubs, bars, restaurants, factory lounges and amusement centers during the early-mid 1940's.

This is Great!
And to think, I had a hard time putting together a 5-member all gals blues band in New Orleans the 1980's.
Must be 50 ladies playing in this orchestra.

A dime, thanks I guess in those days a dime was a lot of money.
My grandfather told me that when he was a kid he could go to the movies watch 3 movies, cartoons, serials like Flash Gordon, buy pop corn a soda and ride to and from town on the bus all for 50 cents.
Today all that would cost $50 and only 1 movie and no serials.
Thanks for the info hyeguy 36 it must have been great.
