  • True, 2 isn't Mado! Who is it? Rembolo? Mado had no trill!

  • 1. Swenson too velvety for this repertoire.

    2. nice but bizarre.

    3. Lily Pons too slow, not enough ring, too swoopy, go back too school.

    4... OUCH.

    5. sooooo sutherlandish in color, yet she sounds depressed which sutherland never did, scales are smudged. and she pushes at 9'53-9'58, ugly. did she ever hear the vowel "a"? most of this is "o" or "uh". if the "a" is so hard, why does she have no problem with it on the highest notes?

  • Goar Gasparian has a fantastic version, with very high note!

  • Claibert's version is fascinating! Nicely rendered, and at times a little strange...i like it...it is a mad scene, after all.

  • This is not Mado Robin at all!!!

  • #2 is Claire Clairbert, the lovely Belgian coloratura. Love your postings - thank you so much! More Maria Remola please!

  • I'm confused again...

  • June is the best, definitely!

  • Number 1 is June! No question!!!

  • The number 2 it's not Mado Robin, I am sure!!!

Ce n'est absolument pas la voix de Mado Robin, c'est une erreur!
