In 1957, Chaplin released his first film made in Europe and not the United States. For this film, Charlie composed some lovely melodies, which were later recorded by other orchestras. These recordings on THE SPRING SONG and MANDOLIN SERENADE were the only ones he released.

  • thanks for the post...i have been looking for what i learned now was "the mandolin serenade "for years....i watched the movie years ago and the theme got stuck in my mind......great tune...also just realised that the main theme of "moonstruck" very strongly resembles it..."charlie" was indeed a genius......great movies and great tunes...makes us "smile"..
