  • I love this one man. This is well acted out imho. I am not sure the setting this scene takes place but if you can add some sort of ambient sound accordingly might make it better. What type of mic are you using also? if you have a sound system (with subwoofer) it might help with the depth of your voice making for a stronger presence. Keep up the good work man. Good job.

  • thanks so much for your great comments...just got back from WA state... I need to learn more about mics/sound.... I'm using an iMac... with a built in mic...maybe i can get some ideas from you how to bring up the bass on this mic???

    peace,

  • You got potential, but remember not to ignore the punctuation of the piece, its their for a reason. in your reading you play the lines well but the thought process cannot be seen. obviously when Hamlet delivers this speech it is not rehearsed, every word is spontaneous thought and you need to show this with the deliverence.

  • Nice man, but I think the rhytmn needs to be slower and with more pauses. Like when you said "'Tis an unweeded garden that grows to seed, things rank and gross in nature possess it merely. That it should come to this!" I think you would benefit with pauses in this otherwise the message/drama is slightly lost.

Sometimes a pause is much more effective than a line.

  • I liked your reading of this soliloquy, because I thought it showed true skill that you can make the lines read so naturally. However, I think that it is easy to sometimes be a little over-dramatic when reading Shakespeare, and I feel that if you kept the emotions more subtle, the overall effect would be much greater. I know Hamlet is distressed, angry and confused, but I think that if you pace yourself a little and portray the emotions more subtley it will be more poignant. No offence intended.

  • good job... but it would be much more better if you dont rush! Please dont rush and enjoy more the words. You swallow to many important words.

  • I've played around with audio/video). This will make your voice have more presence (your voice feels far and thin in internal mic.) As for the bass if you can play around with the audio part of the clip i am sure you can fix it, but the external mic should help a great deal with that as well (I use a PC so I dont know how to do on MAC). Eager to see your next post.

  • Hey man welcome back! The internal mic is the first thing to let go. Get you something better, Best Buy Samson Dynamic maybe. around 20$ should get u a mic and a desk stand. (I am no expert but
