  • Love the video, I've been reading your NR thread as well. Quick ?- most serious reefers (including you) modify their RSMS soon (within 1 yr) after purchase (i.e. upgrading skimmer, lighting , etc.). If you end up swapping out a lot of the most expensive equipment anyways, why buy an RSM in the first place? Is it becuase you didn't anticipate the need to upgrade the components? Or is it just a really good looking tank design so it's worth the price just for tank and stand? Thx agn for vid!

  • @observer855 Everyone has their own upgrade needs. My main thing was the crappy skimmer. I did everything else very slowly ie kept the stock lighting for a long time. Like any hobby you are never satisfied. AIO tanks are much easier to set up in many cases.

  • What is your trick to keeping your tank so clean? Mine has 30 different types of zoas and palys and 15 different types of mushrooms... and a bunch of other stuff. How fast did your digitatas grow under the stock lighting? Thanks :)

  • @RoseReefer I don't know if it is a trick just set it up correctly with the Tunze 9002 and media basket. They grew rather well under the stock lighting, but I haven't had that for well over a year now.

  • god i love this video you have a great reef. I am really thinking about going from my 75 gallon saltwater to doing this 34 gallon red sea max setup. what are the benefits of this tank in comparison to a regular saltwater tank with separate filtration/lighting/skimmer/etc..?

  • @StevieT cool tank glad it was also posted on my b-day! :)

  • @observer855 About to buy my first set-up, debating doing an AIO vs. buying parts seperate. Thanks for any insight you can offer! And again, AWESOME tank.

  • @StevieT Thanks!

  • @lhugigg8tgf Sorry it looks like that. I keep it short on youtube. I answer a lot of threads and forums and do this for a living so short, sweet with info works best here. If you would like a more detailed view of the tank with some fun writing, check out the thread. If not GFY ;)

  • @StevieT fair enough sorry if i made you angry because you write like you are annoyed
