Update: Full recorded event here http://forum-network.org/lecture/joss-whedon-cultural-humanist
Joss Whedon received the Lifetime Award for Humanism at Harvard's Memorial Church. His speech addressed the importance of replacing the outdated construct of religion, i.e. faith in a higher being, with faith in humanity; "faith in something with absolutely no evidence, versus faith in something with much evidence to the contrary", approximately. This was followed by an extended Q&A that was a wonderful mix of show-specific and humanist-centric discussion, and a final portion for autographs.
I don't know about nerissasilver, but I have looked for it, and so far, no dice. Any suggestions?
