Working with producer Eddie Kramer on guitar sounds

Here's a clip of me and Eddie listening on the playback , working on engineering and producing some killer guitar sounds and solo's for our album entitled power trio from hell / American Man . This session was our first day recording and it was a decision that I had to convince the band on . kramer was perfect for a guitarist like me and He , having worked with Page , Hendrix , Winter , among other guitar greats , was now both from His experiences with Anthrax and classic artist aforementioned was the right Producer for the CD , which was difficult to mix ( I had to get in there with Paul Lani and really work on it ) but astounding when it was finnally finished and turned in and the artistic statement it makes is undeniable . If you have never heard this CD you should try to locate a copy . The song "19" is probably the loudest recorded guitar on tape boasting 1600 watts of marshall power and as the rythm tracks were being recorded ; it caused the Burbank Police department to be innundated with phone calls from people living 6 blocks away having pictures and glasses falling off their walls and tables ! We were over at Alpha studios and they were banging and banging on the doors to the studio for hours but we couldn't hear them cause the doors were locked and we'll ... we were recording !!!

Kramer was a total professional for the 6 months we worked together ? He did not smoke anything and was very health food conscious - so I dunno what your talking about that's not the Kramer I know ?

Kramer was a Huge fan of my improvisational talent and was opposed to me doing take after take in the studio ! He was the best for this type of guitar really honestly graceful and He understood exactly what to do with guitar solo's , how to edit and combine tracks to get a masterful take ! He loved the explosive and hated the contrived .The best take was a song called Lost souls that He said " let the guy solo and feature Him , He is a natural improv type player and works we'll in that forum ".

@punksnotddeadd i know some one who worked for him, he told me Eddie is a dustchbag, tried to kick him all the time, put his cigs out in ppls coffee let alone smoked in the studio, in the studio, man professional sound ppl know smoke ruins gear yet this punk smokes ganja and uses clients coffee cups as ash tray

oh yeah, he told one of his assistants once to buy him weed and when the assistant go arrested instead of trying to help he called a new student to be his goer, edds a nice guy, worth it

When it comes to studio mixing if I had the great fortune to be in a position of a Guitar Supernova I would pay Eddie Kramer whatever He wanted to assist me with my recording sessions.
