http://www.flowers-and-garden.com/MantisTiller In August 2007 I tested the Mantis Tiller/Cultivator and have been using it ever since in my barrier-free (raised) garden. I don't wanna give back that gardening tool anymore...

  • Mine seized up after three gallons of gas. Mantis will not honor the warranty. You can read my story here wiltfong/dot/com

Boycott this company. They are scum and the product is total junk!

  • It is a cultivator (loosens already tilled soil, and scrapes up weeds) NOT a tiller. If you want to till a new garden, look elsewhere.

  • @meanyist Pls check the Power tiller CY50 & CY80 (Ching Yee Machinery Co., Ltd.) , it could cultivate in most kind of soil , except the paddy field and wet land .

  • How much does this thing cost? I get worried when the manufacturer does not give a price. It must be high. I am guessing about $400.00?

  • man you have NO idea what your sayin i lived in georgia. clay as compacted as hell!! it went thru like butter did i tell you my grandpa did it 85 year old said its easy so why dont you try again!! go ahead comment send me a vid of it so called failing i dare you!!

  • "will cut through the hardest clay" ..

BS, I borrowed my grandmother's the other day, I've done all the maintenance on it and it stayed in great condition, she only used it on semi-compacted top soil and it did alright.

Anyways, I brought it to my house, I wanted to churn up some trails that had gotten a little to rough. The earth I was tilling was a mix of georgia clay and top soil, it bounced around for about 20mins, then the blades bent. I spent 3 hours bending them back in place..

  • @randomvidz94 culti and roto

  • whats the difference between a cultivator and rotovator ?

  • I tried to use one of those and ever time I pulled the rope it would pop me it took 2 hours to get that started. It didn't work that well any way it just bounce all over the place. mantis can go to hell!

  • what kind of gas did you use just gas or mix?

  • yes and no... it'll get through it, but you gotta hang on... its not like a big power drive tiller.
