A new study by researchers from Sacramento State University found that small businesses in California will pay an additional $49,691 as a result of the Air Resources Boards implementation of AB 32 the states program to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. With climate change actions being debated at the state, federal and global level, we need a real conversation about how to protect our environment in a way that also protects our economy.
Even as the "Do as I say, Not What I Do" People fly around the world burning jet fuel, and implimenting regulations that are putting peolpe out of business. Our air quality is and will only get worse as the particulate matter from the Chinees factories dumps across the U.S. courtesy of the jet stream. One should open their eyes and look at the big picture.
We are shooting ourselves in the foot and sending our industry to countries like China

Growing is the problem sustainability the challenge, running businesses without increasing foot print square footage wise and carbon wise. That is the challenge you cannot keep expanding exponentially and expect clean environment the two are mutually exclusive. This notion that we can keep the economy growing by adding population 2% to 3% a year 100,000 or so houses a year and expect to be living in anything other than an open septic tank is the problem with chamber of commerce and politicians.
