BILLABONG XXL (Biggest wave of the year) Contest

If this year's Billabong XXL Awards are any indication, waves aren't the only things getting bigger. The known big-wave universe is growing as well. In addition to familiar big waves such as Maverick's and Todos Santos, XXL finalists have come in from spots that weren't even known about a decade ago, like Ghost Tree in Monterey, Shipstern's bluff in Tasmania or Playa Gris in Spain.
