Thought you may enjoy two short videos from our recent holiday in Kailua Kona, Hawaii.
We were first to arrive, but pretty soon another 10 local residents showed up to swim in an area where wild spinner dolphins are known to rest in the mornings. As soon as we got there, we saw we were in luck!... we spotted many groups of dorsal fins above the water, and once in the water, were able to hear them echo-locating us with their clicking sounds. There were at least 30 pod members with us, and you can see how close they came to us!
We brought leaves into the water for the dolphins to play with... pay close attention to how they compete over scooping them up on their dorsal fins! Also, make sure your sound is up to listen to all their various clicks and "wow's" of delight over the leaves!
