Here's the process for using MediaCoder to batch re-wrap Canon 5D Mark II video files in order to get the proper colorspace within Windows NLEs. The current Quicktime plug-ins incorrectly handle the levels, crushing blacks and blowing out highlights.
regarding the audio: I just threw a track on the clip, even though it's too short, as the first time I uploaded a file, it had no audio track, and youtube didn't detect it as an HD clip, and without seeing it in 720p you cannot read the text.
I also found that the latest version is giving error 15 (even if I disable the demuxer).

Tried the older v0.6.2.4242 (can be found at filepig.org/download/mediacoder/)
it's interpreted now as 1920x1080, but rewrapped video in a mp4 file is still interpreted as 1920x1088 after importing to Premiere Pro and the image is stretched. To avoid this resolution change, the video should be reencoded. Adobe Media Encoder can be used, or MediaCoder with Cropping.

MediaCoder v0.7.5.4742
when importing a Quicktime MOV file from a Canon DSLR, MediaCoder interprets resolution as 1920x1088, instead of 1920x1080 as seen in the video
