Lets never forget that Jean Luc Ponty is one of the worlds greatest musicians and is also a very humble and gracious man who is among a group of musicians that you know as well as I, the world does not acknowledge properly..Thanks for posting.
This man has become so famous over the decades. There are not many well known electric violin players in the Jazzrock world. I would have liked to hear him playing in the world famous semper opera in Dresden Germany where he gave a concert in 2002. , however during the 70`s I must say that I found Jerry Goodman the better man on electric violin in Mc Laughlins Mahavishnu orchestra, my all time favorite fusion Jazzrock band.
Awesome. I've been looking for interview material from him for a long time, but it was mostly manuscript. One of my favorite artists/composers! Thanks for the upload.
it's great to see him talk; he seems so light hearted, as i imagine someone as enlightened as he would seem. he just looks so dang serious when he plays. thanks for posting. JLP is one of my all time favorites, one of those rare gems more people need to know about...
Great film!
