  • I was taught that using an air roller caused micro fractures to the carbon.They were verboten in the shop that I use to work for.Squeegees were used to consolidate the lamination instead.

  • Thx for the tip. Maybe that's why Tygaboy made sure we only made cosmetic (not structural) parts for our practice.

  • where is the best place to buy carbon fiber if you are going to make a mold yourself. Basically what is a good price for the raw material?

  • It is a resin roller. Basically it is a metal tube with fins or grooves. It allows the air to escape.

  • what type of roller was that?? just any paint roller?

  • sorry...I mean 3 layers of carbon fiber?...is thats how it supposed to be?..

  • the smallest i have seen while browsing was .008 inch (120th of an inch roughly) as a .0162 is a 64th and .032 is 32nd
