Proposed design enhancement for the Willamette River Bridge in Eugene-Springfield. This proposal is by Lin Cook, Eutectica Design. Eutectica Design has developed a monumental sculpture "Camas Petals", honoring the Kalapuya who once inhabited the banks of the Willamette River. "Camas Petals" are large stainless steel sculptures in the shape of camas flower petals. The objective is for the commuter on the Interstate to quickly see large, simple, graceful petal shapes in the 15 to 40 seconds as they pass by.
